Apple, Pomegranate & Coconut Water Breakfast Smoothie

Now that Autumn is well under way (apart from the occasional beautiful sunny day like today) we’re loving getting creative in the kitchen with all of the incredible seasonal ingredients. Apple’s are amazing for this time of year and can be used in so many delicious dishes. It’s definitely the season for warming Apple Crumbles, pies, soups and in this instance: smoothies! The combination of the apple and rolled oats, gives it those apple porridge vibes, which is exactly what we fancy for breakfast at the moment. It’s also super speedy to throw together in the morning and something that you can easily take with you on the go.¬†This smoothie packed with incredible fresh fruits, slow releasing carbs from the oats and a refreshing burst of our coconut water. You could also add in some vegan protein powder for an added boost of protein.

Ingredients:

Serves 2

1 ripe banana

1 apple- sliced

1/2 cup pomegranate seeds

1 cup Coco Zumi Coconut Water

1 heaped tbsp almond butter

Pinch cinnamon

Dash of vanilla extract

1/2 cup rolled oats

 

Method:

Pop all of the ingredients into your blender and blitz until smooth. Serve and enjoy!
