Chocolate covered banana pops
We’ve got another Summery recipe coming your way again today! These frozen chocolate banana pops are super quick and easy to throw together and are the perfect little treat for a warm afternoon! The combination of the sweet banana with the rich, decadent chocolate is just a heavenly flavour pairing! For the chocolate, we’ve combined our coconut oil, with raw cacao powder and pure maple syrup. Coconut oil is a great addition to raw chocolate, as it also adds a subtle undertone of sweet, coconutty flavour and also helps to create that really smooth and creamy texture to your chocolate.
3 ripe bananas
3 tbsp coconut oil
4 tbsp cacao powder
3-4 tbsp maple syrup/brown rice syrup
Slice the bananas into halves and push the lolly pop sticks into the end of each of the banana halves. Place these onto a lined tray and into the freezer for half an hour to allow them to chill so that the chocolate will set quicker.
Gently melt the coconut oil until liquid.
Stir through the cacao powder and maple syrup until you’re left with a smooth, chocolatey mixture.
Carefully dip the banana pops into the melted chocolate and add the toppings of choice. Return these into the freezer and allow them to set for a couple of hours.
